Logistics
We agree the route and the delivery terms for each contract.
Turkey
- Route
- Sea container from the port of St Petersburg.
- Check at entry
- The plant quarantine directorate at the port of entry checks the documents, the declared goods and plant health.
- Import conditions
- Peat (customs code 2703) passes plant health control at the first point of entry into Turkey and travels with the phytosanitary certificate of the exporting country.
- For packaged peat obtained wholly from Sphagnum and used as a growing medium, the certificate states that the peat comes from non-agricultural land, has not been used before and is free of harmful organisms by laboratory analysis.
- Other packaged peat and growing media for sowing or planting contain no soil, and the certificate states fumigation or heat treatment.
- Soil may not be imported into Turkey. The lot contains no soil.
- Wooden pallets carry the ISPM 15 mark.
- The importer is registered in the Turkish plant quarantine system (BKKTS), notifies the shipment before it arrives and files the original certificate, the transport document and the invoice.
- For bulk peat in a container we confirm the conditions with the importer before the contract.
China
- Route
- Rail through the border crossings between Russia and China. We agree the route for each contract.
- Check at entry
- Chinese customs checks the registration of the enterprises, the marking of the packaging and the phytosanitary certificate.
- Import conditions
- The enterprises that produce, process and store the peat are registered with the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC).
- Peat travels in new, clean, sealed packaging.
- Every unit is marked in Chinese or English: product name, place of production, name of the enterprise and its registration number in China.
- The phytosanitary certificate carries the additional declaration required by China for organic growing media.
Delivery terms
FCA, CPT or CFR by agreement.
We quote transit time and freight for each request, because they change with the season and the carrier.
